Plastic Frames
Most of the plastic eyeglass frames are made of Zyl (zylonite, cellulose acetate), which commonly will be named as acetate. There’s are few material more which is, Nylon, Kevlar and Optyl. Plastic frames are easier to be break more easily than metal frames
Acetate
The most commonly used plastic in eyeglass frames, it is affordable and easy to work with. It came along with huge variety of colors, textures and also patterns. Acetate is easily adjusted, but tends to get brittle with age.
Nylon
Nylon is lightweight, flexible and strong. It often chosen for sports and safety applications. These frame are often found in wraparound styles, because they are easily molded.

Metal is a popular material for eyeglass frames, particularly for rimless and semi-rimless frame styles. Available in a variety of shapes, colors, and styles. Below are few of common metals used in frames.
Titanium
Titanium is extremely lightweight and it will not rust, making it a very popular material for eyeglass frame. The metal alloy is very strong, and its hypoallergenic. Some titanium frames are made from an alloy that is a combination of titanium and other metals. In general, titanium alloy frames cost less than 100% of titanium frames.
B-Titanium
Beta-titanium (B-Titanium) is a mixture of Beta-alloy and Titanium. This makes B-titanium high in flexibility. B-titanium is strong, durable, lightweight, flexible, hypoallergenic and anti-corrosive. Which is more suitable among those with active lifestyles, especially children’s and athlete.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is comprised mostly of iron, with a mixture of nickel, manganese, and chromium. Stainless steel is highly lustrous, and make a good thin and sturdy frame with strong corrosion resistance. Stainless steel frames are light weight , low toxicity, and high strength but it is less flexible compare to B-titanium and Titanium.
