1) Avoid allergens
The best approach to controlling your eye allergy symptoms is to do everything to limit your exposure to common allergens (pollen, dust and animal dander) that you know you are sensitive to. Try to stay indoors as much as possible when there is high count in high.
2)Remove your contact lens
Consider wearing glasses instead of contact lens during allergy season, or consider switching to daily disposable contacts lens that you discard after a single use to avoid the buildup of allergens and other debris on your lenses.
3)Warm and cool compresses
Try applying a compress for immediate relief of itchy eyes. Warm compresses over the eyes may help relieve itching due to allergies.
4)Use eye drops
There are many brands of non prescription eye drops are available now that are formulated to relieve itchiness, redness, and watery eyes caused by allergies. If your eye allergy symptons are mild, non-prescription eye drops for allergy relief may work very well for you and maybe less expensive than presciption eye drops or other medication.

See an eye doctor
The only way to know for sure if you have eye allergies and to get the best treatment advice is to see an eye doctor for a comprehensive eye exam. Above all, though it’s tempting, don’t rub itchy eyes. Rubbing releases more histamines that make the itching worse.
